The redevelopment proposal for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Udyan was envisioned as an opportunity to reimagine one of Pune’s important public open spaces while preserving its identity and cultural significance. The design approach focused on creating a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible urban park that caters to visitors across age groups. Through the introduction of enhanced pedestrian pathways, revitalized green spaces, gathering zones, recreational amenities, and improved landscape infrastructure, the proposal sought to transform the garden into a dynamic destination for leisure, community interaction, and cultural engagement.

The landscape strategy emphasized native planting, shaded environments, and sustainable interventions that strengthen the ecological character of the site while enhancing user comfort.
